DNS-over-HTTPS

DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) enhances DNS privacy by encrypting queries using HTTPS directly from your browser.

Why use DNS-over-HTTPS?

  • Encrypts DNS traffic using HTTPS (port 443).
  • Works without OS-level configuration.
  • Easy to set up in modern browsers.

Enable DoH in Google Chrome

  1. Go to chrome://settings/security, or Open Settings > Privacy and Security
  2. Scroll to Use secure DNS.
  3. Turn it On.
  4. Choose Custom provider:
    • For standard DoH:
      https://dns.mininxd.web.id/dns-query
    • For Family DNS:
      https://dns.mininxd.web.id/family

Enable DoH in Firefox

  1. Open Settings > General > Network Settings.
  2. Click Settings....
  3. Enable DNS over HTTPS.
  4. Select Custom and enter:
    • Standard:
      https://dns.mininxd.web.id/dns-query
    • Family-safe:
      https://dns.mininxd.web.id/family/dns-query
  5. Click OK.
